This elegant, Grade II-listed home dates back to 1721 and is one of Lynmouth's finest Georgian buildings.Enjoy the best of the coast and the countryside with a relaxing stay in the luxurious, quirky ambience of this luxury guesthouse based in the bustling waterside village of Lynmouth, right on the flanks of Exmoor.

Inside

• Style: Eccentric luxury down to a fine art: expect champagne-corked essential oils, gold-smudged furniture and shag-pile carpet.
• Bedrooms and Bathrooms: Five opulent bedrooms comprise of a double en suite, a double and single with an interconnecting en suite and two twin rooms sharing an en suite (rooms with shared en suites are only let together if by guests from the same party). All rooms are ornately dressed with plush furnishings and Egyptian bed linens, while bathrooms boast powerful showers and complimentary power showers.  
• For relaxation: Enjoy a quiet night in by the roaring log fire in the sitting room, or pamper yourself with spa treatments in the comfort of your room - from manicures and pedicures to facials and massages.
• For recreation: Let your chef pack you up a picnic and don your walking boots to explore a range of Exmoor's hiking routes on the doorstep.

• Practicalities: All rooms have TVs/CD players and radio alarms, as well as bathrobes and large, fluffy towels.

Food and Wine

• In-house cuisine: 'Nourish, taste and indulge,' encourage your hosts as they serve up sumptuous dishes from breakfast through to dinner: wake up to homemade breads, fresh fruit platters and Eggs Benedict, take gourmet picnic hampers on your daily adventures and come back to innovative country cuisine from lamb shanks to 'duck marquis'. All dietary needs can be catered for. (No dinner is served on Sunday or Wednesday).

• Eating out: For the cosy ambience of a traditional 14th Century pub there's The Rising Sun, for Belgian and French cuisine head to St Vincents, or for stunning views opt for The Lynton Cottage Restaurant.

 There is a small, terraced garden open to guests. Please note, the property does not have allocated parking, on street parking, or Pay and Display available locally.

Getting there

• On the map: The waterside village of Lynmouth is situated on the A39 between Minehead and Barnstaple. Sea View Villa is situated off Watersmeet Road up a short path directly opposite the church.
• By car: About four hours from London - exit M5 at junction 27 (Tiverton) and follow the A361 towards South Molton, the A399 to Blackmoor Gate and then the A39 to Lynmouth.
• By train: The most convenient train station is Barnstaple, 15 miles from the property.
• By air: The nearest airport is Cardiff, about 25 miles away

Steve and Chris are eccentric, creative types who both enjoy celebrating the finer things in life. As well as a flair for cuisine and a natural passion for hospitality, the pair welcome guests into their home and their luxurious lifestyle, sharing after dinner anecdotes and musical entertainment.
